![]() ![]() In 2006, Kiko released his second solo album, “Universo Inverso”. Kiko plays all instruments with the exception of drums on the album. Kiko Loureiro launched his solo career with the release of his debut solo album “No Gravity” in 2004. The band is one of the most important Brazilian metal bands of all time. Since 1993 Angra has released eight studio albums, three live CD’s, two live DVD’s, six EP’s, received two gold records and toured extensively around the world. Recorded in Germany and released worldwide, the album went gold. They inspired him to embark on a journey that would make him an incredibly versatile musician, endless hours of practice leading to his unique style.Īt the age of 21, Kiko Loureiro along with his band Angra released their debut album ‘Angel’s cry’. Kiko was fascinated by the music of many musical heroes such as Jeff Beck, Jimmy Page, Paco de Lucia, Herbie Hancock, Pat Metheny, Astor Piazzola, Hermeto Pascoal and bands like Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Iron Maiden and Van Halen. His love for music came naturally, and at an early age, he was already a curious listener who loved spending time in the school library, consuming its vast music collection.Īt the age of 11, he started having lessons on the acoustic guitar, but it was a few years later that he found his calling when he discovered the world of progressive and heavy rock, jazz and fusion. No Gravity was recorded, mixed, and mastered at House of Audio in Germany, and was produced by Kiko Loureiro and Dennis Ward (Pink Cream 69).Kiko Loureiro was born in Rio de Janeiro, but grew up in São Paulo, the largest metropolitan city of South America. ![]() His drumming stands for solidity, technical complexity, rhythmic consistency, accuracy, and most importantly, for song-orientated integration. ![]() Drummer, Mike Terrana (Masterplan, Yngwie Malmsteen, Rage, Artension, a.o.), proves consistently throughout the album what a highly skilled drummer he is. No Gravity Is an absolute masterpiece and the fact that Kiko has played all instruments himself (except drums) on this album, it can actually be considered a piece of art. “La Force de L’Âme” and “Feliz Desilusão” are both emotionally intense instrumental ballads featuring great arrangements underlined with clean guitar sounds, fills, and lead breaks. Kiko’s versatility is enormous, and as a matter of fact, he was born and raised in Brazil, which is a major influencing factor on the tracks “Tapping Into My Dark Tranquility,” “Beautiful Language,” and “Choro De Criança,” all of which showcase Kiko’s subtle, yet very impressive influences such as traditional Brazilian Rhythm and Jazz elements. It is not easy to write a solely instrumental album, hence the importance of including some tracks that enable the listener to embark on a visually imaginative journey that Kiko masters with excellence, thanks to his great sense for feeling. This is strongly evident in the title track “No Gravity,” which is another absolute highlight. What strikes most with Kiko’s No Gravity album is the fact that a musician with such strong technical skills still has not lost any sense for feeling and emotion. Extremely tight and fast, sometimes arrhythmic power riffs, combined with mouth watering, highly technical licks and cleverly arranged melodic passages are all served on a plate of the highest songwriting skills, and should move all lovers of Progressive Metal to tears instantly. The opening tracks “Enfermo” and “Endangered Species” are also two highlights of the album, and go full out and underline very quickly why Kiko is so highly rated as a guitarist and composer today. A respectful seven additional albums with Angra have contributed to Kiko’s constantly improving development as a guitar player, which eventually catapulted him to new heights when he was awarded the prestigious “Best Guitarist Of The Year” awards by several leading publications, such as Brazilians Rock Brigade, Rock Underground, and Roadie Crew.Īs a logical consequence when following Kiko’s remarkable career, the guitar maestro revealed his very first instrumental solo release No Gravity to the world. A lot has happened since March 1993, when Kiko recorded his first instructional video by MPO Productions and recorded Angra’s debut album, Angels Cry, in Germany. ![]() After starting his musical studies when he was just eleven years old, Kiko has never stopped developing himself as a guitarist and as a composer. Kiko Loureiro is considered one of the most talented musicians nowadays by not only Angra or Metal fans, but also amongst many other top rated musicians and music media representatives. ![]()

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Lettered RIP Tattoo Design on the Side BackĪuthor’s Review: The tattoo seems like an inspiration from the family tree but instead there is a branch of a flower that has been made.Īuthor’s Review: This is a simple tattoo design that has been made here on the arm.If your relative wants to get a tattoo for the deceased, you two can get the same ones done on your respective ankles. It is that part of the body that is neither too visible nor too covered up. Where Should You Get RIP Tattoo DesignsĪuthor’s Review: The ankle is a thoughtful place to get inked on, especially if it’s to honor the dead. Other Objects: One can also try and add some other elements to the design like flowers, doves, crosses, quotes, script, line work, etc, something that associated the image with the person. Judaism RIP Tattoo: These kinds of tattoos can be added with the symbols of Judaism like the Stars of David and other elements like Hamsa or letters like shin and chai. Name and Date: In many cases RIP tattoo is accompanied by a name and date that is dedicated to a loved one. Rest in Paradise: In many cases, people also replace ‘peace’ with ‘paradise.’ It represents that the soul will be resting in some place that is paradisic. Hebrew Rendering: The Hebrew rendering is another way to show your RIP Tattoo since it looks super religious. The Caduceus, a dagger, or staff with Snake: These elements present in the RIP tattoos can represent healing. It also has religious connotations as it can mean the death of a person with christ in the heart. On tattoos, it represents the love for the soul who has passed. Usually, a RIP Tattoo means celebration of the deceased person with respect and compassion. It often represents going away from a loved one or losing something in general too. Whether their name is inked on your arm or their dates of birth and dates on your back, RIP tattoos are like tiny shrines you carry with you. Regardless of your design, most RIP tattoos represent a common thing- grief. Where Should You Get RIP Tattoo Designs. ![]() ![]() ![]() A cool little cove to watch while you’re having a cocktail. It overlooks a tiny little fishing village, a real one, with guys mending nets and kids running all over the place. I believe I had room 7, it was perfect. Spartan, but spotless. Each time I check back, they seem to have made even more improvements. They since bored an elevator into the granite cliffs - a feat that rivals the Gotthard Tunnel…but just for a teeny elevator. A lot of regulars and a lot of Europeans come here. When I was last there, they had a tiny little cable car for your luggage that they sent down…then you walked the 60 or steep steps down. It books up quickly - I’ve tried to get in a half-dozen times and they were always booked. The Onda Verde is a fantastic little place of just a handful of rooms. ![]() Here are two great pictures from their website: ![]() UPDATE: I just noticed in 2017 that the name has change to Villa Corallium. Nice tile to walk barefoot and leave the doors open for a week. I just sent some friends there last year and they loved it. It was Spartan then, with white plastic chairs, a frigobar behind the front desk and they handed out ice cubes like they were manhole covers. The luggage, they had to lower by a cable wire down the hill and they were just hand-carving a skinny elevator out of the dense granite cliffs. When I was there, the sweet young couple that owned it (she was Swedish, I think) were just building this place up. Okay, welcome back: See what I mean? The location of this place in Praiano is just perfect. Anyway, go google it and then come back and I can continue my story…. Like a blind man and an elephant, you can never picture the whole thing at once. I don’t have many pictures of this perfect little hotel, well, because it is built on a steep cliff and you can only see Out, or down at your feet. Okay, so you gotta google Hotel Onda Verde. You have to check out their website not to see what amazing improvements they’ve made over the years. I took these pictures to long ago, they were on film. how Positano has shared itself so willingly with the rest of us. Even though there are a few hotels and rooms to rent, reasonably priced, it seems more like where people live, or have their summer villas vs. Sitting on a far point that juts in front of Positano like a Roman Nose, it feels, and is, more like a fishing village. (Aren’t they all in Amalfi?) If you want to be close to the action in Positano but away from the crowds, this is your place. Just 20 minutes around the corner from Positano, past the ritzy San Pietro hotel, is this little village, also perched on a hill. Not that many people know the secret that is Praiano. You can shoot in a cab, your car or take a water taxi that comes by fairly regularly. It’s a great place to stay away from the touristy Positano. Clinging between the cliff and the roadway, it is like a suburb of Positano - once removed, quiet and friendly. Two villages down from Positano is a small little hillside village called Praiano. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() You are able to set per-namecolour permissions or have one permission for all name colours.
